Love Kingston relaunches as Kingston Charitable Foundation

Love Kingston is relaunching as Kingston Charitable Foundation.

The much-loved charitable project recently achieved independent charitable status and will relaunch as Kingston Charitable Foundation (KCF) on February 14.

Tony Mills, chair of trustees of KCF, said: “The Kingston Charitable Foundation trustees and I are extremely enthusiastic about taking Love Kingston to the next level, retaining the focus on local community needs whilst building a secure financial future for this vital charity.”

In its eight years, Love Kingston has helped to raise and distribute a total of £116,000 worth of funding to local charitable organisations.

KCF will continue to enable families, individuals, companies and trusts to establish funds to continue to help support Kingston’s local community.

The name and branding for Love Kingston is not going far.

Love Kingston will remain the much-loved local community engagement brand.

KCF will continue to host community events though the Love Kingston brand, and will further grow the charitable fund in order to provide grants to charities, both now and in the distant future.

KCF will be hosting a week of online launch events on February 14-21, including a yoga session, pizza night and a ‘meet the trustees’ session.

Further detail of the launch events can be found on KCF’s website.

KCF is also launching its Urgent Covid-19 Appeal to provide three £500 grants to charitable organisations in Kingston.

Charities can request an application form for the grant by emailing grants@kingstoncf.org.uk.

KCF is also appealing for donations to the fund, through its Urgent Covid-19 Appeal Virgin Money page.
