Man accused of Barcadia stabbing given conditional bailA young man who is accused of stabbing a clubber in the neck in Barcadia nightclub last year will return to court on May 19.

William Ridley, of Mavis Close, Epsom, Surrey, was granted conditional bail today at Kingston Crown Court by His Honourary Judge Fergus Mitchell.

Mr Ridley, who is accused of stabbing Andrew Young in the neck with a champagne glass, must not have any contact with the prosecution witnesses as part of his conditional bail.

The incident, which took place on December 24 last year, sparked the suspension of Barcadia’s licence, which was later revoked by Kingston Council.

The defendant could face a prison sentence in excess of six months if found guilty.
