A charity comedy night will be held in Kingston for ‘Movember’ on Saturday 2nd November to help raise money for “world class men’s health programmes.”
The quirky charity that raises money and awareness for men’s health by encouraging men to grow their moustaches during the month of November is kicking off with a comedy night at The Albert bar and grill in Kingston.
Events organiser Amy-Jane Cahalane said: “We hope to raise £1,000 as a team to support world class men’s health programmes that combat prostate and testicular cancer and mental health challenges.”
Some of London’s most exciting up and coming comedians will be taking to the stage in support of Movember including Sonia Aste, Tom Clutterbuck and Jake Lambert.
The charity comedy night held at The Albert will be the first of many events to help raise money during the month of November in Kingston.
“The rules of Movember are that you have to clean shave on October 31st and then grow your moustache for the whole month, so we don’t expect to see any moustaches two days in! You are welcome to wear a fake one if you like!” Ms Cahalane added.
Doors open at 8.30p.m and tickets can be purchased at the bar in advance for £8 or £10 on the night – all proceeds will go to charity.
