Arrest in Kingston nightclub fatal stabbing

Met police have arrested a man in connection with the fatal stabbing of Jamie Sanderson at Oceana.

Ambulances were called to Oceana nightclub in Kingston just before 3:30am on Thursday morning, after a young man was stabbed to death at the club’s popular student night.

Less than 24 hours later Met Police confirmed they had already arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with the attack on a man they named as Jamie Sanderson from Southall.

The attack occurred during a foam party for students called Fuzzy Logic. Mark Lawson, Acting Detective Chief Inspector, said: “This incident took place in the vicinity of the ground floor cloakroom toilets.” He added that any person who had information on the event should come forward.

Friends and family, as well as many others, paid their tributes to Jamie Sanderson, nickname Bullet,  on Twitter.  One person tweeted, “RIP Jamie Sanderson. I’ve got good memories of when I used to see you when I was a youngster. Gone too soon.”

Police are continuing to investigate the incident and question the suspect.
