After a couple of weeks away from Kingsmeadow, Kingstonian FC are back at home on Saturday for a 3pm kick off against Leiston FC.
The match has been brought forward from Monday after the game against Wealdstone had to be postponed.
Two successive 0-2 defeats against Folkestone Invicta and Lowestoft town have knocked the wind out of the K’s sails and Alan Dowson’s men will be looking for a swift response against 19th placed Leiston.
With five home wins under their belt this season Kingstonian will be hoping to keep in touch with leaders Maidstone United who they trail by five points in the league.
Suffolk side Leiston have had a poor start to the season so far, with manager Danny Laws leaving the club on the 15th of October after a poor run of results left the side languishing in the relegation zone.
Current Leiston first team manager Steve Pitt was appointed on the 20th of October and the side have experienced an upturn in fortunes. With their first league win in 9 games last weekend against East Thurrock United (1-2) and then a mid-week cup win against Needham Market (2-5).
Striker Craig Parker plundered a hat-trick midweek for Leiston and the K’s will be hoping that he has less luck at Kingsmeadow.
Kingstonian will be hoping for a return to their early season form and the Kingston Courier will be there to cover it, follow @CourierKingston for updates on Saturday.
