Kingston Courier clinches NCTJ nomination

Kingston Courier has been shortlisted for an award by the NCTJ, for Best Student Publication.

The online publication, run by postgraduate students from the Journalism department at Kingston University, is up against competition from three other universities: De Montfort University, Leeds Trinity University College and University of Brighton.

Course lecturer and Editor in Chief of Kingston Courier, Lucy Smy, expressed delight at the nomination.  Ms Smy commented the graduate class of 2012 up for the current award, have now set the bar high for next year’s 2013 graduates.

Winners will be announced at the Journalism Skills Conference, taking place on 28 November in Nottingham.

Judges include journalists from The Sunday Times, Sky Sports News, The Daily Mail and The Sun.<--break->“></p>
