Female Met officer denies sexual assault charge

A female Metropolitan Police officer has denied sexually assaulting a woman. 

Sergeant Rachel Bright, 45, is accused of touching a woman without consent while off-duty in Wandsworth on December 5, 2022. 

She appeared at Kingston Crown Court on Monday wearing a black blazer with her hair tied in a bun.

A trial date was set for September 30. 

Bright, of Buckland Way, Worcester Park, and attached to the South West Command Unit, is suspended from duty.
