K’s new boy Charlie Knight is confident his team will bounce back after last weekend’s cup loss

Kingsmeadow

Kingstonian’s surprising 2-0 defeat to lower league opposition Folkestone Invicta, marked their second early exit in cup competitions.

K’s new boy, Charlie Knight, who has enjoyed a great start to life at Kingsmeadow since his move from Bashley, believes the team has enough spirit to recover.

He said: “Football is about bouncing back and understanding you wont win every game but being resilient and consistent, which are qualities we have in the dressing room.”

When speaking to the Courier, Knight made it very clear that the team focus is not to dwell on the loss but to concentrate on winning upcoming games.

“We will learn from our mistakes and improve. We all want to be playing Conference South football next season. There is no secret to that. But we need to take it one game at a time and focusing on winning.”

Kingstonian FC’s next match is an away trip to Crown Meadow where they will play Lowestoft Town, tomorrow afternoon. The last time these two teams met the K’s suffered a 1-0 home defeat.

A win tomorrow accompanied by some favoured results could lift Kingstonian FC to the top of the Ryman Football League Premier Division.

Match Kick off Saturday,October 26, 3.00pm
