The Women’s RFU team won their fifth game, beating Kilburn Cosmos Ladies 66-0.
Wimbledon Women rugby team scored an important victory in February, beating London rivals Kilburn Cosmos Ladies and keeping a clean sheet.
Alice Ingram opened the game with a try scored within minutes then converted by Sophie Blackett creating a 7-0 scoreline.
Abi Hopper scored the fifth try just to the left of the posts and won the bonus points.
The halftime score was 31-0, which doubled by the end of the match, putting Wimbledon second in the league.
Coach, Jack Kremer, congratulated the team on their win and said: “For the first time this season a clean score.”

The match took place at Dukes Meadows pitches on 22nd February, with the teams competing in the NC3 league.
There are only three games left to play in the season. The final game is on 26th April.
Next up, Wimbledon face Grasshoppers RFC Women on 22nd March.
The win comes at a time of new growth for the Southwest London team.
Wimbledon Women RFU were out of the leagues for several years after a significant number of players left the club.
“They all hung up their boots at the same time,” said Kremer on the loss of players.
The 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup, hosted by England last summer, boosted interest in the game again, said Kremer.
“We’ve got our team back in the league and it’s going pretty well for us,” he said.
Wimbledon RFU were one of the first clubs in the UK to develop a women’s team.
In the 1980s wives and girlfriends came to watch the men play but decided to form their own team after they discovered an appetite to take part themselves.
The women are celebrating their 35th anniversary this year. The team celebrated their achievement after with some post-match pints.

Player Abigail Hooper said: “Wimbledon is one of the oldest women’s teams in the country.”
Teammate Sophie Blackett said: “It’s brought me lots of enjoyment on and off the pitch.”
