Visitors to Thorpe Park have raved about the theme park’s Fright Nights event this year. This annual ‘scare’ event includes live action scare mazes, interactive scare zones, live performances and thrilling rides twisted with terror.
The Fright Nights 2025, which runs till 2 November, costs from £36 to £116, depending on types of tickets purchased.
Mia Smith, one of the visitors at the event, said that she wanted to try something different this year.
“I’d never really done anything for Halloween before, so I wanted to experience something new,” said Smith. “The atmosphere was great, and The Walking Dead was the scariest part– it felt like an escape room before turning into a ride.”
The four scare mazes: DeadBeat, Stitches, Survival Games and Trailers were some of the major highlights of the event as people rushed in to get a glimpse of horror.
“I come here every single year, and it keeps on getting better,” said Riley Lewis, a returning visitor. “The mazes and rides are incredible– it’s totally worth the price.”
Attendees also enjoyed the scare zones and horror shows, including Lucifer’s Lair, the IT 4D Experience and the newly introduced Purgatory Town.
Yuvam Bonah, an international student attending the event for the first time, said that it was unlike anything he had ever experienced. “It’s my first time doing something like this for Halloween, and I’m enjoying it a lot,” said Bonah.
Thorpe Park won the award of UK’s best theme park in 2024 and its Fright Nights event is one of the growing number of ‘scare’ events in the UK.
