During this time of year many flock to the cinema to scream in terror as they watch a scary movie to fit the Halloween atmosphere.
Paranormal Activity 4 came out this October and after seeing several reviews, I feel the need to explain.
So many people have seen the first couple of Paranormal Activity films and each time people complain about the slow going style of the film..
After the first film it was obvious by the ending, with the lack of credits, that the film makers were going for a “Blair Witch” style, documentary-style film.
Paranormal Activity 4 continues to have cameras throughout the residence and is narrated by those who live there in a family home video style; just like all the previous films in the franchise.
Will there be a Paranormal Activity 5, probably, just like all the Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees and Leatherface films that seem to be never ending.
It is because of audience members that enjoy these films for either their style, content or pure storyline that these franchises keep going.
And to those who continue to complain after each film, just don’t go. The films are going to be the same style each time a new one is released, and therefore, why go if you know you don’t like that type of film.
I personally get terrified every time I watch any of the Paranormal films and after watching the last one I screamed non-stop. Though to be fair, most were a “jack-in-the-box” type of fright as shadows and people kept popping up out of nowhere with the only warning being an ominous musical soundtrack.
So if you like “Blair Witch” type films and have enjoyed the first three Paranormal films, go and see Paranormal Activity 4 and be prepared to scream.
