Mayor of Kingston sends condolences to Paris following massacre

In a letter to the Mayor of Paris and the French ambassador, The Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, Councillor Roy Arora, has expressed his condolences about the tragedy in Paris that unfolded on 13 November.

“On behalf of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, I send you and the people of Paris my heartfelt condolences after the horrific attacks that took place across your city on Friday evening,” he said.

He described the acts as “mindless” and added: “We sincerely hope you can find the strength to see yourselves through these difficult and sad times.”

The Mayor sent his “deepest sympathies” to the families of the victims and finished the letter by saying “nous sommes unis”, which translates to “we are united.”
