The BRITE Box project, founded by Voices of Hope, delivers weekly recipe meal kits to families across Kingston, Richmond and Southwark and delivered 257 boxes in its first packaging session of 2022.

The project now reaches at least 450 families per week and has delivered over 8,000 boxes altogether. The boxes include ingredients and a printed recipe guide with photos illustrating how to cook a healthy meal. The project was shortlisted for Start up of the Year in the Kingston Borough Business Award.

BRITE Box is currently funded by organisations including Surrey Community Fund, Richmond Parish Lands, RBK Neighbourhood Grants, Shanly Foundation, Hampton Fund, Walton Charities and RBK Household Fund Winter Grant.

Supporters thanked in its February 2022 impact report include Anjuna Beats, Chris Bavin John Lewis, KingsGate Church, Kingston Carers Network and Achieving for Children.

Project Leader Ruth Dawson said: “We are always happy to welcome adult and dofe volunteers and are looking to partner with more businesses and community organisations who are keen to help children and families to enjoy cooking and eating well together.”
