Kingston holds a memorial in tribute to heartbreaking genocides

As we approach March 17, we remember the Jewish extermination beginning in Belzec, resulting in 600,000 Jews being murdered by the end of 1942.

Kingston borough recently held a memorial event paying tribute to genocides during the Holocaust in World War II.

Holocaust Memorial Day, a national commemoration day dedicated to the annual remembrance of Jews and others who suffered during the Holocaust, took place on Friday, January 27.

Kingston Inner Faith Forum, alongside Kingston council, held its event this year following previously strong public turnout.

Kingston’s Holocaust Memorial Day was held as a way to gather the community of Kingston. It provided an opportunity to learn about the Holocaust and genocides in general, alongside respecting those who suffered during it.
