Kingston-Upon-Thames was revealed to be the second happiest place to live in London according to a Rightmove poll.
The poll covered 194 areas in the country and 22,000 homeowners took part.
Sharon Young, councillor for Chessington North & Hook Ward said: “I can understand that people think Kingston is a great place to live. I would like to see us next year being the happiest place to live, let’s go to number one.”
The 12 categories in the poll included culture, green spaces and the quality of local services.
Kingston came in 15th place nationwide and second place in London, with Richmond coming first.
BA Filmmaker at Kingston University Dylan Friese-Green said he thought Kingston’s location and green spaces were a good combination.
“It is a bit out of the way from Central London so kind of detached but still quite accessible to get back into the city,” he said.
