Spring is finally upon us and now is the time to refresh your wardrobe, saying goodbye to your winter clothes and welcoming the trends of the season.
It is hard to know what is in trend but the predictions have been released about what styles, colours and types of clothing will be in fashion this spring.
Nadhia Shukri, Senior Buyer, at Kingston Fenwicks, said: “It’s the perfect time to incorporate a burst of colour into your wardrobe. TikTok trends have also reintroduced the desire for tailoring and workwear.”
Shukri said that the perfect capsule pieces for a 2024 spring wardrobe would be shifting to solids and wearing co-ords.
Bright reds
With Barbie pink was the desired colour for a 2023 wardrobe, 2024’s hottest colour is a vibrant red.
Red can be the staple of any outfit. It can be styled as a predominant red outfit or could work as a flash of colour, with red accessories, red shoes, or even a red lip – which is back on trend.
Red is particularly complimentary with gold, white, denim or black. However, to achieve an incredibly vibrant look, red pieces can be paired with bold pinks.

Pretty pastels
Pretty pastels colours have always been associated with the spring period and this year is no different.
There is no better way to welcome the lighter nights and warmer weather with soft colours, which could be lemon yellow, baby blues, lilacs and link pinks, which pair perfectly with tan or white accessories, or for those wanting to achieve a richer, more vibrant look – gold.

Country and Western
Shoppers have seen the urge to sway towards a typically country style and style their outfits with frills, cowboy boots and even… the cowboy hat.

Simple whites
A real palette cleanser from the vibrant reds, solid colours and country style, whites have been expected to create a refreshing change of pace.
Although whites are thought to be the style of the season, the staples needed for a 2024 spring wardrobe are white clothes with oversized ruffles, floral motifs and monochrome.

Workwear and tailored looks
Relaxed suit sets, blazers and cargo trousers remain a cornerstone of this popular trend.
Achieving this look, but still looking ready for spring is possible, by wearing smart clothing that is sage green, stone or sand.

Elevated everyday
Following last year’s trend, which reached towards ‘quiet luxury’, this spring is no different.
Now is the perfect time to invest in a staple cream or white blazer, luxury belt or bag which make it possible to subtly integrate all hero pieces to truly elevate your look.

Sporty looks
There is a huge rise in the number of people reaching for a typically sporty outfit each day.
These looks could be wide leg joggers, a matching gym set, high socks, caps, tank tops and, of course, trainers to match.
