Kingston council have announced a free parking scheme to help Christmas shoppers and smaller businesses benefit during the Christmas season.
From 5 December shoppers will be able to park in Kingston, Surbiton and New Malden for up to 30-minutes free of charge.
Councillor Andrea Craig, Cabinet Member with responsibility for business support and development, said: “Together we aim to make Kingston a vibrant, leading destination in the UK.”
She added the free parking will help support the annual event “Small Business Saturday”.
Drivers are allowed to use the free parking once per day and prices return to normal after the 30-minute free period.
