The fear of Coronavirus has left Kingston’s high street shops deserted.
High street shops in Kingston’s town centre have been in decline for a number of years due to increasing numbers of shoppers taking their custom online and rent costs becoming too high for shop owners to pay.
The Coronavirus pandemic could be the final straw for small and independent businesses that do not have the resources to withstand a prolonged period of financial loss as many customers chose to stay at home.
