Christmas this year will be like no other. Many yearly events people look forward to have had to shut their doors. Some Covid-19 safe events that are able to open have their tickets now up for sale.
The government’s advice is also there for customers to ensure their safety. Like many things at the moment, these tickets will have to be bought in advance, as there is limited availability as capacity is smaller this year.
Amid the pandemic, certain festivities are still going ahead. In and around Surrey, outdoor events are able to open, with social distancing practices in place.

Ice Skating at Hampton Court Palace
A popular place at Christmas, ice skaters can enjoy a tasty hot chocolate whilst admiring the Palace.
It will start on November 20 and end January 3 2021. 10am-9pm.

Byfleet Christmas Market
Nothing quite beats a Christmas market to put you in a festive mood. With many stalls selling gifts and local produce, you are also able to enjoy a beverage at the bar alongside food and hot drinks.
It will start on November 28 and is open from 3pm to 9pm.

Ice Skating at Beaverbrook
The five-star hotel decorated in Christmas lights to lift the Christmas mood will have a rink available to hotel guests and local guests visiting for the spa or to dine.
It will start on December 4 and end January 3 2021.

Santa at Bluebell Railway
Father Christmas is able to travel, and children will be able to meet him during a marvellous steam train journey with Bluebell Railway.
His grotto will be located in Horsted Keynes.
It will start on November 28 and ends December 24.

Christmas at Kew Gardens
The famous Christmas light display will be making an appearance in the botanical gardens. The spectacular winter trial will wind you through an illuminating rose garden, shining tunnel of bells, magical trees intertwined with light to an enchanting treetop waterfall.
It will start on November 18 and runs until January 3, 2021 4pm-10pm.

Santa specials at Rural Life Centre
Father Christmas will be at the Rural Life Centre in Farnham, to meet and spread Christmas joy to children.
It will be held on December 5, 6, 12 and 13. With time slots at 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.

Glow at RHS Garden Wisley
The marvellous award-winning garden will be displaying a magical family-friendly light show.
It will start on November 21, 2020 and runs until January 4 2021 4pm-8:30pm.

A vintage Christmas at Rural Life Centre
Looking for a different Christmas experience? Look no further, returning to the museum once again, with an extended two day event, a Vintage Christmas is something unusual to look forward too in the festive season. With a vintage and retro market, for people interested in the mid-century style, they can enjoy shopping for antiques, retro and vintage items alongside vintage entertainment.
It runs on November 14 and 15 10.30am-3pm.
