Kingston has a lot of treats ready for Halloween 2022 with the spookiest events right on your doorstep. Still not sure what to do? Here are some events to inspire your fright night.
Thursday October 27: Movie night- Night of the Living Dead
To kick off the long Halloween weekend, Ram Jam Records are hosting a free screening of one of the most successful independent horror movies of all time. The gory zombie film will start at 7:30pm, head down for a night of pure horror.
Friday October 28: Halloween Part 1- The Soap Girls, Lady Rage and Trash Culture
Kingston’s popular music venue the Fighting Cocks Bar is a Halloween trilogy for £8! The night, dubbed ‘Little Shop of Punk Rock,’ will feature three acts from 7:30pm onwards.
Saturday October 29: Halloween Hat making
This Saturday you can head to the Kingston museum to learn how to make Halloween headpieces. The Kingston based hat designer Bee Smith is welcoming anyone of any age to this spooky sewing workshop. The session will begin at 2:00pm and tickets can be purchased ahead of time for £10.
Saturday October 29: Halloween Part 2- Imperium, Bangover and Halberd
The Fighting Cocks Bar is hosting a heavy metal event for the second night of the Halloweekend. Fans of heavy metal can enjoy their Halloween with head-banging grooves and heavy riffs.
Saturday October 29: Retro Rock Icons, O’Neill’s
For Halloween, Retro Rock Icons are heading to O’Neills for a night of classic rock. Expect Bowie, Beatles and Blur and some spooky tunes to match. Fancy dress is optional but encouraged.
Sunday October 30: The Gay Horse: Halloween Drag Show
Kingston’s number one drag show is getting spooky, celebrating Halloween with a night of queer fun. Doors open at 5pm at Ram Jam Records, and performances to follow at 6 pm. Expect games, costume competitions and a line-up of Kingston’s favourite drag queens.
Sunday October 30: Halloween Part 3, Silent Screams
The Fighting Cocks Bar is going all out with not one, not two, but three Halloween events this year! The finale of Halloween weekend will begin at 7:30pm on Sunday. The bar will showcase silent horror films to a ghoulish live score.
