Brighton town centre buzzed with excitement as residents anticipated the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s first child.
The couple had visited Brighton as part of their one-day Sussex tour last October, bringing frenzy to the town.
Although the Meghan Markle’s due date remains unclear, a Buckingham Palace statement confirmed that the royal baby was due “in the spring of 2019” – almost a year after their wedding.
The couple has reportedly recently moved into Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, just in time to start their journey as parents.
It is expected that Meghan Markle will give birth in the privacy of their new home, a Buckingham Palace statement read: “The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.”
Eager Brighton residents speculated on the gender and the name of the baby, and sent their best wishes to the couple.
