Climate change protests in London: demonstrators accept they may be arrested

Demonstrators talking part in the Extinction Rebellion protests against climate change remain defiant despite the number of arrests.

Hundreds of people have been arrested and more arrests are predicted over the coming days. However, campaigners are continuing their demonstrations. Many have camped overnight in some of London’s most popular spots such as Marble Arch, Waterloo Bridge and Oxford Circus.

The protests are likely to last for several days across the capital causing major disruption on roads in and around Central London.
