Epsom paedophile handed 22 year sentence for ‘utterly horrific offences’

A man from Epsom has been jailed after being found guilty of sexually abusing two young children.

Kyle Fox, 26, was arrested in September last year when police raided his house in the early hours of the morning, finding a naked five-year-old boy on a bed.

Fox was later found to have abused a baby girl and a young boy over a period of six years, and was sentenced at Kingston Crown Court on Friday March 1 to 22 years in prison.

The case was investigated by the National Crime Agency (NCA), the UK’s lead agency against organised crime. Its senior investigating officer Jason Booth described Fox’s actions as “utterly horrific offences”.

He added: “Law enforcement needs to be able to proactively target the highest risk, hardest to tackle child sexual abuse and exploitation offenders.”

The NCA’s National Cyber Crime Unit also played a major part in Fox’s arrest after videos of the abuse were found to have been posted on the dark web.

Though the suspect’s face was not present in the footage, NCA officers were able to piece together evidence and identify Fox and both victims.

Fox admitted to the abuse and to producing the video but denied posting the footage, claiming that someone had found his lost memory stick and uploaded it themselves.

The NCA has motioned for the website in question, which contained 145,000 videos of child sex abuse, to be taken down.

“The NCA prioritises these cases to safeguard vulnerable children and prosecute offenders,” said Booth.

Officers seized Fox’s laptop after his arrest, which contained vast amounts of child abuse images and videos, 29 of which showing the rape and indecent assault of the young boy.

In total, Fox was found to have been in possession of over 13,000 indecent images of children, nearly 5,000 being category A items, classifying them as the most severe kind of material.

His devices were ordered to be destroyed.

During last October’s hearing Fox admitted to 14 charges against the boy and 5 against the girl, including various forms of rape and indecent assault.

His 22 year sentence is to include a further two years extended licence and he will be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
