Shop owner Ash Green noticed more police on the ground and a newly parked police van blocking the market’s entrance on Clarence Street.

“I think it’s just a safety precaution,” said Green. “[The van] made me a bit anxious, but I wasn’t before.”

A police officer confirmed the van was added in response to the Berlin attack.
