Kingston’s Banquet Records is known not only for its wide selection of music, but also for organising gigs and events in and around the area.
The shop has built a strong reputation for their contributions to the local music scene, particularly for hosting intimate and affordable live shows.
This year marks the 20th Anniversary of their transition from Beggars Banquet to Banquet Records, after being taken over by current owners Jon Tolley and Mike Smith.
Jodie Ward, who works at Banquet Records, said: “Banquet Records is a community, it’s lovers of all different types of music and people. Also, you can’t ever get bored of live music and the experiences it brings. It’s always going to carry on being amazing.”
