In the lead up to his eighth studio album, Steven Wilson will be visiting Kingston for a signing session at local record store, Banquet Records, on 20 March.
Wilson fans can grab tickets to meet with the locally born artist next Thursday at 6pm, in celebration of his upcoming album release, The Overview, under the record label Fiction Records on 14 March.
To attend the signing session, fans must bring their order number to the shop for admission. If you’ve pre-ordered The Overview from Banquet Records, you can upgrade to attend the signing, with each album purchase allowing one upgrade.
The Overview is a two-track, forty-two-minute album inspired by the “overview effect”, profound phenomenon that astronauts typically experience when looking back at the Earth from outer space.
The new record marks Wilson’s return to expansive, progressive-rock genre that he has significantly influenced as a solo artist and with Porcupine Tree.
The event is open to all ages, taking place at Banquet Records, 52 Eden Street, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1EE.
