Happity Co-founder Emily Tredget to share her journey at the New Malden event
Kingston’s two Inner Wheel Clubs, Kingston and New Malden, will host a special International Women’s Day celebration on Friday, March 6.
The event run by the voluntary women’s organisation at New Malden Methodist Church, features three speakers dedicated to the club’s century-long mission of “Service Through Friendship.”
Bobby Child, a representative of the Inner Wheel Club, said: “We enjoy the friendship while working together to try and make a difference to those who need help the most.”
International Women’s Day, on Sunday, March 8th, celebrates the achievements of women.
Among the speakers at the Inner Wheels Club’s event is Emily Tredget, co-founder of Happity, a platform dedicated exclusively to baby & toddler classes, will share her personal recovery from Postnatal Depression (PND) to help other mothers find their way to support.

“I didn’t need to be ‘fixed’, but I needed to be seen and heard,” said Tredget. “Loneliness was a key factor, not just in getting PND, but in perpetuating it as nobody spoke about it.”
Happity is the UK’s largest marketplace for baby and toddler classes, which has won the 2023 Startups 100 ‘Diversity, Ethics and Inclusion’ award, and helps parents find many classes in and around Kingston and the southwest.
Tredget also hopes to inspire other female entrepreneurs, noting that only 2% of venture funding currently goes to women-founded businesses.
She will share her “next-level grit” in navigating the business world, aiming to encourage the next generation of female leaders in the audience.
“I want to inspire other women that they can create a successful business that creates good,” Tredget said. “We need to see change for the generations to come.”
