Two people have died in Kingston within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test, the latest government figures revealed.
That brings the total number of deaths within the past 28 days to 127. Daily case numbers remain low in Kingston, as 56 people tested positive for Covid-19 on Friday November 20.
The total number of new positive cases in the past week came to 341. Of those 341 cases, Kingston University reported 40 new coronavirus infections on Monday November 16.
It has confirmed 105 cases since the new term began in September 2020.
In London, 2,540 people tested positive on Thursday November 19, and 154 new patients were admitted to hospital with the virus last Monday.
Just under 1,400 people are in hospital with the coronavirus as of November 18 of which 220 patients are on a mechanical ventilator.
The national lockdown is due to end on December 2.
The north of the country has fared worse during the second wave of the pandemic forcing certain areas to introduce additional measures to control the spread of the coronavirus.
As of Friday night, Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said restrictions, will be extended to December 11.
This means non-essential shops, gyms and restaurants will remain shut.
