On Wednesday this week, junior doctors came out in force at Kingston Hospital and Tolworth Hospital to protest against Jeremy Hunt’s new contract.
The strike saw the first time doctors have called an all-out strike, leaving consultants and nurses to cover emergency care.
The groups huddled outside the hospital entrances did not look like much at first, but taking their vast support from the public, other medical staff and the British Medical Association, it is clear they should not be underestimated.
Car horns and shouted messages of support broke up the contented camaraderie and the junior doctors stayed strong despite Jeremy Hunt’s many attempts to turn the public against them.
