Hailed as a hero, 20-year-old Kingston University student Ali Abucar Ali was stabbed near his home in Brentford West London, on 12 November.
Ali was pronounced dead at the scene. A man has been charged with his murder and the attempted murder of 82-year-old Betty Walsh.

Norris Henry, 37, from Brentford, appeared at the Old Bailey on 17 November, via videolink from Wormwood Scrubs. The court heard that the attacks were “unprovoked.” The judge set a plea hearing for 21 February.
Tributes have poured in for Ali, who recently won a scholarship and as a basketball coach was helping young girls play basketball.
A basketball had been left at the scene of the stabbing with the writing: “RIP Coach Ali. Miss you bro.”
Another note left said: “RIP. You put your life first to save another.”
Ali’s younger brother Hassan helps a woman in a scooter put a tribute for Ali.
A Go Fund Me page has raised nearly £100,000 for the family.
Public vigils are being held for Ali on Albany Road.
Walsh, a retired barmaid and mother of seven from Ireland, had been going home from a friend’s house. She remains in Paddington hospital in a serious condition.
