Riverside Walk and Kingston First, making up the borough’s business improvement district, have organised ‘Light Up Kingston’, an outdoor exhibition of light installations which will run in the town centre until 23 February.
The project was launched in 2024, and this year Kingston First have brought in more installations designed by local artists like Skyhigh and Kingston University alumni, Jadwega Ligeza.
Greg Miles, Project Liaison Manager at Canadian and Portland, the owners of Riverside Walk, said: “Riverside Walk is delighted to sponsor Light Up Kingston. While February is a cold and dark month, we wanted to partner with Kingston First to turn those attributes on their head and encourage visitors to sample all that Kingston has to offer in a new light.”
The art featured includes Kingston in Frames, the Bubble Tubes in Clarence Street, the Hothouse at Fusebox Kingston, showcasing six plant sculptures, and the Seahorses.
