A man in his 50s who was pulled from the River Thames by the police forces yesterday afternoon at Kingston Bridge has died.
Kingston Police confirmed on Twitter that the man was pronounced death from a heart attack after being taken into a South London hospital around 3pm.
One of the witnesses, Rob Corp, a journalist, described the scene as dramatic and said “numerous police units, helicopter and marine unit for the man were in the river.” The London Evening Standard, some witnesses “saw the man jump from the bridge into river”.
The police didn’t reveal the identity of the man but said that relatives had been informed about the incident. Officials continue their investigation.
