Easter is here, and Kingston is bursting with ways for residents and visitors to make the most of the season.
From treasure hunts and creative workshops to seasonal markets and sweet treats, the town is packed with things to see, do and taste this Easter.
Get Creative at the Bentall Centre’s Wonderland Workshops
This Easter, the Bentall Centre will transform into a Wonderland of creativity, welcoming families and visitors of all ages to participate in free workshops inspired by Alice in Wonderland.
From 7 to 21 April, roll up your sleeves and try crafting — making colourful bookmarks, decorating biscuits or creating your own Easter wreath.
But the fun does not stop at crafting. Keep an eye out for some special guests — including the Queen of Hearts, Alice, and the Mad Hatter — who will wander the centre on selected dates.
Do not miss Momentum’s mask-making workshop on 17 April. By participating, you will have fun and contribute to a great cause. All donations will support families of children with life-limiting conditions.

Enter the Bentall Centre’s Easter Egg Competition
Think you’ve got the winning ticket? The Bentall Centre is also hosting a fun Easter Egg Competition from 14 to 18 April. Each day, one lucky winner will be drawn to receive a giant Easter egg.
You can find full details at bentallcentre.co.uk.
Follow the Golden Bunnies at Hampton Court Palace
If you want to combine history with your Easter adventures, the Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt at Hampton Court Palace is a must.
Running until 21 April, this self-guided treasure trail takes you through the stunning palace gardens, where you will spot golden bunny statues and learn about the royal history of the site.
The best part? Successful hunters are rewarded with a Lindt chocolate bunny.
This is included in the standard admission price and under-fives go for free.
Hunt for Dundun the Chicken at MINISO
Looking for something a little different? Kingston’s new MINISO is running its own Easter treasure hunt until 20 April.
The challenge? Find Dundun the Chicken, hidden across the store’s four floors. If you spot them all, you will have a chance of winning a £25 prize bundle.
Visit MINISO in Kingston town centre to take part and test your skills!
Join Storytime and Crafting Fun at Waterstones
At Waterstones, Easter is not just about chocolate — it is about books and creativity too.
Bring the kids along for special storytime sessions on 13 and 23 April, where The Café at the Edge of the Woods, winner of the Children’s Book Prize, will come to life with enchanting readings.
But that is not all, Waterstones is also offering Easter-themed crafts and a treasure hunt inspired by the book. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a quiet afternoon during the school break.

Celebrate Easter at Local Church Services
For those seeking a more traditional Easter experience, All Saints Church in Kingston Market Place is hosting a series of special services throughout Holy Week, including the Good Friday procession and Easter Sunday celebrations.
Other local churches across Kingston will also be marking the occasion with services open to all. Be sure to check individual parish websites for specific timings.
Explore Kingston’s Spring Markets and Seasonal Treats
Kingston’s Ancient Market is bursting with seasonal produce and Easter goodies, so be sure to stop by for a taste of the season.
From handmade chocolates and freshly baked hot cross buns to vibrant spring flowers, there are plenty of reasons to shop locally this Easter.
Remember to check out the local cafés and bakeries, too. They are offering Easter-themed menus and special treats that will make your spring even sweeter.
