The casting company behind “Top Boy” and “This is England” will be holding open auditions in New Malden for a role in a new HBO series.
The series titled “Muleum” is based on a novel by Erlend Loe, and the upcoming auditions are for the role of young Korean Skiier Yung Sun Bin, and will be “a “very well paid” according to casting associate Jo Harris.
“This is an incredibly exciting opportunity, particularly as we are not looking for professional actors- anyone who fits the brief is welcome to come along and try out,” she said.
The casting company is looking for a male aged 18-30 of Korean heritage and fluent in Korean according to flyers released by the casting company Des Hamilton.
Top Boy was the most watched television programme on Netflix midway through last month, and the involvement of such a high-profile company is bound to generate plenty of interest.
“The company have continued with great success to cast via a combination of traditional methods (theatrical agents, drama schools etc) and from the street,” according to the Des Hamilton website.
The auditions represent a great opportunity for some of the estimated 10,000 Koreans that live in the New Malden area.
While a date for drop-in auditions has yet to be set, applicants can get more information about how to audition at office@deshamilton.com
