SATs spelling exam has been cancelled after the paper was published online

Last month, on April 22 the Government announced that they were going to pull the Key Stage One Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling test for primary schools this year.

The test had been newly introduced for the Year 2 SATs exams just this year, and pupils were due to sit the exam this month.

It had been noted that sample materials that were published in January included the actual test paper, which was supposed to be administered in May.

One Key Stage One primary teacher gave her personal views on what has happened and her reaction to the news.
