“Endeavour” Wraps Up Three Days Of Filming Near Kingston University Halls

Filming equipment and facilities at Seething Wells

The hit ITV series Endeavour wrapped up three days of filming  in Surbiton.

Mobile filmmaking facilities, including make up trailers, lights and set pieces were seen moving in and out of Kingston University’s Seething Wells Halls of Residence between Tuesday and Thursday.

New episodes of Endeavour began filming in Oxford in September 2013 as Oxfordshire county council members began reviewing a possible increase in filming charges.

A decision by the council has not yet been reached.

Endeavour production staff did not comment on the council’s discussions or if they had any influence on the decision to film parts of the show in Kingston.

Endeavour is a prequel to the long-running Inspector Morse series, set in the 1960’s and focusing on the early career of Detective Constable Morse at Oxford City Police CID.

It stars Shaun Evans as Endeavour Morse and Roger Allam as DI Fred Thursday.

The series began in 2012 and was picked up for another four episodes earlier this year.
